Distributed Vibration Sensor - OptiEar™

Based on single fiber optic sensing cable, the DVS-1000 is able to create a distributed acoustic (or vibration) measurement along the entire length of the fiber, effectively turning the telecom cable into a continuous series of microphones.

Features OptiEar:

  • Long distance monitoring – up to 100km per unit
  • Location of intrusion event to within 5m over long distances
