The smart temperature chamber STC-101 enables the characterization of the temperature-dependent behavior of fiber optic components and other compact components. Accurate control of temperature, temperature distribution and temporal temperature history allows demanding applications such as the measurement of the Shupe effect in the fiber coils of a fiber optic gyroscope.

Smart temperature chamber of General Photonics STC-101 with high-precision temperature control

The combination of a thermoelectric cooler with sophisticated sensors and efficient control algorithms provides a stable temperature, uniform temperature distribution and precisely controllable temporal temperature change in the measuring chamber.

Characteristics:

  • Temperature range: 0-100 ° C
  • Precise control of temperature rise times: up to 2 °C/min
  • Accuracy of temperature change rate: 0.2 °C/min
  • Very good temperature stability: 0.2 °C
  • Support for different temperature curves: ramp, step, sawtooth or cyclic
  • Direct operation on the device or via PC
  • LED illumination of the sample room for pattern observation during the test
