Product description
Genia Photonics' laser is a fully programmable, uniquely agile fiber laser, tunable in wavelength and pulse width.

Using a utility software provided with the laser, you can program the sweeps to perform by specifying the type of curve to use, the range and other parameters. For instance, choose a linear in optical frequency and specify the start frequency, the stop frequency and the step duration. You can also control its output power.

Examples for standard setups:
WavelengthPulse durationRepetition rateAverage power
850 nm25 ps200 MHz4 mW
1064 nm22 ps40-120* MHz100 mW
1064 nm90-2000* ps0.2-125* MHz10 W
1020-1080* nm22 ps40-120* MHz100 mW
1530-1562* nm25 ps10 MHz250 mW
1530-1562* nm120 ps10 MHz1 W
1915-1990* nm130 ps15 MHz25 mW
1915-1990* nm130 ps15 MHz500 mW
2950-3670* nm120 ps80 MHz10 mW
(* to be set or tuned by the user)

Target Applications

Applications that require wavelength agility and fixed pulse width (WA, wavelength agile)
  • Optical coherence tomography (OCT)
  • Time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy

Applications that require pulse width agility and fixed wavelength (PA, pulse width agile)
  • Dermatology
  • Surface texturing (for implants)
  • Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)
  • Dentistry
  • Surgery

Applications that require both wavelength and pulse width agility (WPA, wavelength and pulse width agile)
  • Combination of methods (OCT and nonlinear imaging)
  • Research
